Brampton Museum consists of an art gallery featuring collections telling the story of Newcastle Under Lyme since the Roman invasion.

This 725-acre estate features gardens, shopping, a monkey forest, an adventure course & more.

For outdoor activities, the gardens are spectacular to walk around and there’s even a magnificent lake which nestles next to them. 

It’s located just a 10 minute drive away from town, so we suggest using your local bus transport system or hopping in the car if you have one!

6. Apedale Valley Light Railway

The Apedale Valley Light Railway is a 2’0″ gauge railway operated by the Moseley Railway Trust. 

The railway is located next to the Apedale Heritage Centre, where you can enter a free museum and a cafe with a wide range of food and drink.

They even offer mine tours which feature genuine coal for you to explore…what’s not to love?
