If sharing and learning about different cultures, basking in the sun, and eating delicious food whilst listening to great music is your idea of a great Sunday, then head down to Westburn Park for the Aberdeen Mela One World Day festival.
On the 30th of July thousands of Aberdeen natives as well as international visitors, will descend on Westburn Park to celebrate the diversity in Aberdeen and North Eastern Scotland for its first Mela festival.
Mela festivals are celebrated all over the world and are specifically used for communities to celebrate their traditions with music and food.
The full day festival promises music, theatre and dancing for those itching to get up and dance. Homemade food from well-known Aberdeen caters will be there to tantalise your taste buds, as well as countless ethnic clothing and craft stalls, so you can buy a memento of the day.
The Lions, local Asian networks and community groups are all volunteering at the event only adding to the community spirit.
Starting at 12pm the free event promises to be a day to remember.
